Industry Day Speaker – Jim Conlin

Jim Conlin, Acting General Manager for Asset Strategy at Scottish Water, will discuss ‘Shaping the Future of Water and Waste Water Services’ at the Industry Day 2013.

Jim Conlin is a Chartered Civil Engineer and gained his BEng in Civil Engineering at Heriot-Watt University in 1988. Since graduating he has worked in the Water Industry and he has considerable experience and understanding of the environmental challenges facing the UK Water Industry. He has worked on developing and implementing the capital investment programmes for waste water networks and treatment facilities required to meet these environmental challenges. He has also played a key part in the development and implementation of Sustainable Urban Drainage systems (SUDs) in Scotland and the UK.

Mr Conlin will speaking during Parallel Session 1 – ‘Meeting the Hyrdo-Nation Challenge.’

In his current role as Acting General Manager for Long Term Strategy at Scottish Water,  he is tasked with developing and implementing strategies for water and waste water systems looking 25 years into the future.
